I divided up all the people that were interviewed not only by age, race, and gender, but also by whether or they have ever taken a sexual education class. I did this just to see three things, I wanted to compare the answers of the people that took sex ed. classes to people that haven’t. I also wanted to find out whether or not the sex ed. classes that were available were helpful to them. Last but not least, I wanted to see if the teens that have never taken sex ed. classes know more than the people that did. In the graph shown above the results are that 74% of the people that were interviewed did take a sex ed. Class, and 26% of the people didn’t. This question in particular will help me answer my question, because I can then see if getting sexual education class in high schools is a necessary move. It could be that what really needs to be done is that the sex ed. classes that are available need to be fixed to get youth in Boston the information that they really need.
