Last term we did a oral history project on the topic the youth violence. An oral history project is basically to capture the voice of young people. For this project I worked with a partner from my D block class Jasmine Raines. We first made a list of important questions, that we felt we could get some good outlooks on violence. we went around interviewing many youth, in school and out. We found that so many of the youth had so many good things to say, and they were so fed up with the youth not having voices in there own communities. After we interviewed about ten different people, we chose the most important things that some of the youth said to put on our oral history CD.
