My research question was about how public and private school environments affect the success of youth. At first I was convinced that private schools were the best and way better than public schools. But doing this research opened up my eyes to a whole new truth about private schools. Private schools are not better off than public schools. They too go through difficult ordeals to provide a serious and proficient education for their students. I found out that are not provided with the funds that are needed to provide resources for their students. Instead of receiving money from the government like public schools do, they have to find other means of raising money. And it is a lot of work, because the students are the ones that really do most of the work, to plan and carry out fundraisers. I also realized that the students value their education more in private schools, because they are the ones paying for their education. Public school students get education for free, and tend to take it for granted. At NCC these students actually work to help pay for their tuition to attend school. Literally! They go to school four days a week, and spend the other day working at their sponsor’s site. This is all part of the work study program, where the students work for work for businesses, and the businesses pay a part of their tuition for school. This is good because it teaches them independence, the value of a dollar, and the value of education. There is also a tutoring program that takes place at NCC that allows the upper classmen to tutor the lower classmen. This is good because it helps to instill a sense of responsibility and leadership in the students that they can carry with them into the real world. In the future I would like to see research done on the real differentiation of the difference between public and private schools, and how not only why it has the impact on students and their success, and the way they carry themselves throughout the rest of life after high school.

The purpose of this organization is to promote the benefits, hard work, and sacrifices of private schools, and that they should be seen along the likes of public schools, and not seen as schools for the rich or suburban population, and not by the urban.

The goals of the program are to educate the uneducated about the major differences of how public and private school environments affect the success of youth. Also to provide insight on how the two different environments have impact on the youth, and how they carry themselves after being in the environments in a long period of time. This program is needed because some people in fact tend to judge schools by the type of students that attend it, and the type of environment it is made up of, or surrounded by.

In order for this organization to be lifted off the ground, funds would be needed to first advertise the organization and its purpose to the public by means of Internet, banners, flyers, and supported promoters, media, money to pay the staff, and supplies for the program. I believe that we could get together and join with both public and private schools it would really help the program. That way people would be actually involved and can see for themselves the differences between each school environment. Also help from the government and other youth programs that youth are physically involve with would really help.

In order to achieve this goal I believe that we first must get people to acknowledge the true differences between public and private schools, and not rely on what they have heard. The true way to get any information that is reliable and completely correct is to go out and become an activist your self, and research upon it. After the public becomes aware of the truths of each environment, they must get others involved. That way the program can establish a great deal of credibility, in which will allow for the promotion and success of the program and its purpose. This process may take some time to come into great affect, but throughout the entire process time, hopefully a variety of activist would be introduced within the community, and people would no longer be ignorant of the differences between public and private school environments, and how it affects youth success.
