Youth activism and youth organization is an important factor to everyone, everywhere. The youth are the key branches of any generation because in the future they will be the voices that will be heard. It is important to letting the youth get involved now and get a chance to speak their minds about certain topics and outlooks on life so that they can get the practice they need to be good leaders in the future. Also the youth are enduring the same trials in life and in their communities that their parents are or people of a higher generation. Youth organization is a way to get the kids from their communities together to form projects and different events that speak about problems going on in their community and what they feel needs to happen to make a change in wherever they come from. Youth organization is also a very helpful way to get things done in a community because believe it or not youth can make it happen. Youth are just as intelligent as higher generations before them. I believe if the government and higher generations put more.
The history of youth activism started in the 1960’s. It started with the Black Panthers and the Young Lords who were revolting; many of them were young people. They were focused mostly on race issues. This was during this time the most that was coming out of youth activism because it was such an important problem that the 60’s faced because their was segregation and extreme racism that was going on at the time.
The Next big time period was the 1970s and what was happening at this was “child poverty rates stood at an historic low; cultural animus did not breed political exclusion” (targeting the super predator youth). “In the late 1970s eroded tax support for public schools and a host of publicly funded social programs that benefited low-income youth and their families.
In the 1990s their was a lot of strict rules towards the youth. “Curfew laws and anti-gang tasks forces proliferated. Clinton’s 1994 crime bill allowed more juveniles to be tried as adults, and 41 states followed suit with their own versions of this policy.
All In all, what started youth Activism was whatever was a major problem of its time period. Each significant time period had a group of youth activists somewhere trying to cease what ever the problem was. This shows that Youth activism is needed to help better the world and even though there are a lot of stigmas about youth and discrimination against age, youth have been their since the beginning and with the positive outcomes and results their likely to stay and continue making a difference in the world.

Conclusion
One can conclude that youth activism has been a positive outlook on communities; not only has the story of youth activism been portrayed throughout years but just as well it has been taught why it is important to our lives. Youth activism is something every community needs because youth are the next voice and the next generation. No matter how old you are you still have a voice; which means you should still have a chance to have your voice heard. There are many activist programs for youth in the Boston area as well as all over the world. This is all very important because with the different problems youth face, there should be a way where the youth can give back and make their own changes and speak their opinions on current and past issues. Likewise, youth need to get the practice they need in order to excel and become future leaders. So, with that being said, youth activism is something that should continue to thrive not just in the United States but all around the world just as it is today and as it has been for years.
