When I think about which essay helped me develop into the writer I am now I can’t just choose one, because they all have helped me grow as writers overall.  The one that I chose was the one that we had to write about activism.  Even though I discussed it in the next section it is something that touched me a great deal, because I knew nothing really about activism.

            To arrive at this well written paper I had to go on the internet and do some research about activism, and how long it has been around, where it generated, and other information on activism. I had no help from my teacher besides a worksheet or two that discussed a little bit about youth activism. I was able to use this to write my paper.

            Once I received my paper I was able to organize how I wanted my paper to follow, and where I would place my quotes, and evidence etc. This was hard, because for a person, who knew nothing about activism to be discussing it I was able to get the information, and use quotes and discuss it as if I was a youth activist.

            At the end this paper has helped me grow as a writer, person, because I didn’t know anything about activism, and after I completed this paper I was able to discuss this topic easily, and I begin to realize that I was a youth activist. I learned that you don’t have to go out and protest for something with signs and make noise to be heard. You can do things like write about your problem, post things up, create programs, etc in order to make your problem be known.  Once I discovered this I learned that I was an activist, because I have written things to discuss why I felt something was wrong, and that is exactly what activist does without making a big sense.

            Once I finished researching about this I not only discovered things about activism I also, learned about me about myself as well, and that was that I was a young activist myself.
