What do you think is the biggest obstacle in AIDS education in schools?
Stephanie-Money, people from what I know of it the requirements to get students to pass the MCAS precludes the opportunity to teach them about things that are considered more elective.
Â
Do you believe that funding is an issue that works against the education of HIV/AIDS? if so what do you think we can do to change that?
Â
Stephanie-Yup well as I just said to the previous questions I think money is a factor because I think most of the money goes into trying to get students to pass the MCAS and trying to teach them anything else falls by the waist side umm I know that there is some lobbying going on right now there’s and organization that I believe is called CARES I’m not sure of that but I think that’s the name of the organization that is trying to rally support to convince the mass state government to change their regulations and require sex education
Â
Are certain races/ethnicities, age groups, or genders more susceptible to contracting HIV/AIDS?Â
Stephanie- No it’s more life style people who are involved in drugs and people who trade sex for money but it has nothing to do with age or gender or ethnicity
