Section VII: Research Process Reflection

Throughout this process, I have grown. Looking back I began with a thought but with no evidence. Moreover, the deeper I looked into the topic, the more I began to worry that it wasn’t right. There were many difficulties that happened throughout this paper process. When it came to creating a research question, it was difficult because I and Vanessa continued to have almost the same questions because we were oral history projects partners. We started our internships about a week before we created our research questions, so we were not able to take notes and ask questions that were related to our research question. When we first we were given our packet for our paper, it was extremely hard to think that I could write a 50 page paper in about a month. Another thing that was difficult was understanding what I was writing. I had to call Mr. Liou many times to ask what this or that meant. I think since the deadlines were so close, it was hard because I usually procrastinate but with this I definitely couldn’t. Finally, I had problems with my surveys and I definitely didn’t know how to do the GIS maps, so it took me a while to complete those topics.  Although I had a lot of difficulties, I did have a few successes. When I first started my paper, my section 1 was late; it really hurt when I received 10 out of 20 because it was late. After that, for every section I made sure that they were submitted on time. It feels good even
