As we talked about in class, consciousness and identification of our community issues is the first step in working towards solutions.  We also need young people to step up--they have come to that conclusion themselves.  The following are some words from the students' own writings that reflect their learning and moreover, their hopes and intentions for their work to mean something larger than a worthwhile academic exercise.   Please read and help us to spread their work.
